BIO

Tracey Ann Bergrud

is a sculptor and multi-media artist,

Horse Trainer & Communicator, and Healer

working out of

Livingston, MT | Boulder, CO | Columbus, NC.

She is originally from New Jersey where she grew up on her parent’s horse farm. Here began her journey with invisible illness, which shaped the course of her life and her perspective and understanding of the known world, and the unknown world, for three decades. During that time, Tracey endured a dark psychological battle with Lyme disease, and she has persevered through that journey to the side of health. Now she is  truly beginning her life and able to continue on with her artist studies and  endeavors.

Her healing journey has threaded into her life in such a way that the two cannot  be separated, and so her artist vision is highly influenced by this merging. This seamlessness of two seemingly different aspects of being a human are a constant in her investigation into life. Especially the unseen elements and realms which played a significant role in navigating the world of the spirochete.

Her work is also strongly influenced by Nature and the language of the universe — mathematics. These themes are not a direct visual association but are relayed through metaphor. A main theme in Tracey’s work is the use of animals as metaphor and representation of different archetypes through each species’ specific characteristics and behaviors and exploring what that offers the human realm.

“living life from a sovereign source. We are OUR OWN HEADWATERS. It is OUR BIRTHRIGHT to EXPERIENCE an INTERNALLY FULFILLING EXISTENCE ALONGSIDE OUR PLANT, MINERAL, and ANIMAL FRIENDS.”
